I’m an award-winning UX designer with over 10 years of experience in graphic design.
I started my career as a Selling Supervisor for Macy’s, while in college, which taught me the value of empathy in the customer’s journey, problem-solving and tested my leadership capabilities.
Though my studies focused on business and management, I was fascinated with graphic design, mostly to save my organization’s money, and to learn something unique. After I graduated and took a job as an administrative assistant, my day-to-day activities included me being a webmaster and creating internal and external marketing material, developing myself as a creative professional.
Several years later I left to become a freelance graphic designer, which I absolutely loved, apart from the fear of not knowing where the next check was coming from. I enjoy leading a customer through their design journey from start to finish and gaining an overall understanding of the experience they wanted their clients to have when interacting with their product(s).
Now I find myself working for multiple non-profits as a communication and digital media specialist, which has been fulfilling because I get into a team and make an immediate impact, while implementing new tools like wireframing, prototyping, and Figma.
Today I’m in school as a UX Designer at Austin Community College, maintaining a 4.0 while working full time and competing in multiple design competitions.
I’m creative, a leader and as an athlete, naturally a team player.
I believe working for a medium to large company gives me a chance to learn from industry leaders, grow within the organization, impact a larger audience while working on a variety of projects, attributes and responsibilities that are important for me.
